I will certainly do business with him in the future and now try to share my positive experience with my friends and fellow musicians as much as possible. He could have told me that there was nothing he could do, (and I wouldn't have blamed him because it was "my" mistake) but instead he offered me some fair options above and beyond what was necessary. I've been doing some netsurfing for some replacement guitar parts and found some kits for electric guitars, I've never even thought of building a guitar from a kit of parts until now and I'm. I made a mistake while ordering from him once. Bottom row (left to right) - a BK Butler 911 Tube Driver reissue from 2007, a 911 reissue with bias knob on back from 2008, an original 911 Tube Driver from 1994, a 901 Real Tube from 1987, and a 903 Smooth pick pedal from 1997 There are three different circuit boards used in the original BKB/Chandler 1985-87 Tube Drivers. If neither are in your budget, then I'd go for the Blues Driver. Both the Tube Driver and the TD-X are fantastic pedals. They also have more headroom and less compression.
In my opinion the TD-X doesn't quite get the high gain magic of the Tube driver, but I'm being picky to make a comparison. I really like the TD-X.not quite as much as the real thing but they sound great, are a reasonable size, and take a standard 9v plug. The down side is that they take a tube and a standard plug so I also own two Buffalo FX TD-X's that live on a smaller board and I use when it isn't practical to bring my Butlers.

I found that I liked it for both my high gain and my low gain and bought a second one so my board has two 911 tube drivers on it.one for high gain and one for low.
Finally I broke down and bought a 911 Tube driver. At some point Butler started using a toroid transformer that runs from 120-240VAC which works with either mains power. I tried all the options that you'd expect. Butler has been making since 2005 could be ordered with either voltage, so be sure you are buying a Tube Driver with the correct voltage for your country. I tried to find a BK Butler Tube driver sound on a budget for years.
